Our first stop along the south coast of England after Folkestone was at New Beach on Redoubt Way, where there is a massive seawall holding back the ocean fom the residents who live on the other side. The nearby Redoubt Fortifications (1814) we saw in passing as there was nowhere to stop and pull off to investigate further.
